What is Neuro Emotional Technique?

What is the difference is between those who are chronically ill and those who enjoy vibrant health and vitality?

An elegant, simple, and scientific method of achieving exceptional outcomes, narrowing the gap from where you are to where you want to be.... Neuro Emotional Technique.

I was a graduate of the University of Illinois at the Medical Center, Chicago and, at that time, had worked 12 years in psychiatric hospitals as a Registered Occupational Therapist. A personal life-saving experience with a Doctor of Chiropractic caused me to explore this amazing field of wellness care and nutrition.  I then went on to complete formal training at Northwestern College of Chiropractic and then state licensure as a Doctor of Chiropractic . Applied Kinesiology, a.k.a. A.K. or muscle testing, was among the chiropractic clinical skills developed over 20 years of practice. This technique made perfect sense as a method to evaluate the relationship between structure, biochemistry, and emotions. As I was to find out, A.K. was the basis for yet another technique that would change my life.....Neuro Emotional Technique.

First, let's lay a basis. Visualize health as an triangle. Label the sides structural, chemical, and emotional. When all sides are equal, we experience optimal health and vitality. The sides can become unequal from sustained stress, whether physical or emotional, or from pollutants. When this occurs, symptoms appear, we become dysfunctional and experience dis-ease. Lack of ease also occurs when even well-intentioned, motivated, and committed people inadvertently sabotage themselves.

                                            TRIANGLE OF HEALTH

As a young girl, I had frequent migraine headaches. They continued throughout my adult life.  I was greatly helped by chiropractic adjustments.  However, the migraines would return, being especially severe with stress or attending scientific seminars.  While at one of these seminars in Texas, I experienced a severe migraine attack, I was barely able to walk.   A chiropractic mentor, Dr. Victor Frank, happened to come along.  In tears I asked him for help.  He diagnosed these headaches as being "emotionally based" and referred me to a remarkable man and technique, Dr. Scott Walker, founder of Neuro Emotional Technique.

My personal answer to these "stuck mental blocks" manifesting as headaches came through Dr. Scott Walker and the extraordinary clinical tool called Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). NET answered the unaddressed, unconscious emotional components for me, and now, thousands of others.  Dr. Walker found, through a series of questions and skilled muscle testing, that my unconscious belief.....my fear of being unable to help anyone.....was at the basis of these debilitating migraines.  Then with a gentle tapping on specific points on my spine, as I had one hand on my forehead and one hand on the "kidney" point, Dr. Walker treated this unconscious "programming"..

Was it really that "easy"?  Yes! My headaches disappeared and I reached a new level of health.

What is NET? This technique, developed by Dr. Walker in 1988, enables a practitioner to diagnose and treat emotional components to acute or chronic pain. These "stuck mental blocks" also interfere with full achievement of goals, outcomes, and life purposes.

How does it work? The mind is powerful. The unconscious mind may harbor beliefs that are contrary to success. Past experiences create these limiting beliefs that are often outdated and unrelated to who we are now....and who we are becoming.
Millions of events have happened to each of us. The emotionally impacted events remain the most vivid in our memory. These events form mental "snapshots" which are stored in the body, then resurface at odd, seemingly unexplained times.

Take a car accident for example. If you've been in one, you likely can recall a vivid "snapshot" of a brief moment in that accident. In the NET model, this "snapshot" is perceived and recorded subconsciously. Interestingly, this total imprint pattern is stored mentally and physically and is restimulated over the years during similar situations. Restimulations, whether emotional or physical, can take place consciously or subconsciously. Have you ever asked yourself:   "Why did I act like that? Where did that come from?"

NET complements psychological treatment or therapy and enhances other training programs. As with traditional therapy, the NET practitioner helps the patient to see, remember, and even "relive" the experience in a more objective and adult perspective. It aligns subconscious beliefs with conscious beliefs and outcomes. In other words, we place the "snapshot" in the album, turn the page, and go forward.

Practitioners and patients have reported remarkable and profound results. NET neutralizes and calms the emotions caused by the original affecting event. As a bonus, the patient will be less likely to be restimulated emotionally from the original "snapshot".
